Strategic use of TestStream in path to Cerner 2018

Several of the clients that I work with are beginning to develop their road map to Cerner 2018 code level. Most have at least one 2015 (.18, .19, .20 etc...) upgrade on the path. Strategic planning of the domain migration/s has been key in aligning their TestStream platform so that they are ready when the time comes.

One recent example is an organization that will be utilizing Prod, build, mock, cert & train domains in a rolling manner along a defined timeline. Having their TestStream machines set up and pointed to these domains will ensure that they are sync'd up and ready to perform pre/post data collections and be able to quickly compare domain to domain and have knowledge of any differences. Concurrently, sample testing across Cerner applications (PowerChart, PharmNet, PathNet) can quickly ensure the integrity of a given domain as it is refreshed/upgraded. This type of 'Domain Integrity' testing has proven to be a valuable strategy for rolling/fluid migrations.
